10 Day Freedom Plan Blog Challenge

September 10, 2016

This blog post is in response to Natalie’s 10 Day Freedom Plan Blog Challenge Day 1

I’ve been fighting for my life of “freedom” for a long time now. I’ve struggled through what I need to do to get there, how I’ll get there and what it will take to get me there. What does a life of freedom mean to me? It means I can live – for me. I can define my own happy.
But lo and behold I have consistently been faced with challenges and road blocks through my journey every single day. So what challenges am I struggling through right now?
Fear
My biggest challenge I face is the dreaded FEAR. It is a scary step jumping into the world of freedom-preneurs. Sometimes my mind whirls into the realm of “what if I fail.” And I try to shake them off and continue pushing through my work. I think the key solution to this is knowing the fear is there but indulging your creativity more. Just take the initial step and above all, always believe in yourself.
Self doubt
Another big road block that I face going into my freedom adventures would definitely have to be, “why would anyone want to listen to me anyway?!” Or the dreaded, “I’m not good enough.” I find myself thinking, well this person is this much more qualified than me or this person has so much more experience than me. I know I need to continue rerouting my mindset and telling myself that everyone has a unique story. I have added this fantastic quote to my daily affirmations to try and help myself through this struggle: “Comparison is the thief of joy.”
I feel like the challenges that I am consistently faced with are all internal. I think working towards a more balanced mindset is my key.
