Hello there, lovely dream chasers! Welcome to my comfort zone challenge. Showing you how I pushed myself to take those first few steps into the scary world of change.
I am going to call the next 4 posts the adventure series! These are all of the fun things that I did while I was traveling! I have not one regret for doing any of them and I’ll admit… I was a little scared to do all of them!

Let’s start with a big one. Conquering 8,000 steps and then the next day conquering 4,000 more. And when I say steps, I literally mean stairs. This was one of the greater accomplishments of my life for a lot of reasons. For one I think walking that many stairs in two days is a huge accomplishment for anyone honestly. And two I have had two collapsed lungs in my 24 years and cardio is difficult for me. People are constantly telling me to take it easy, to which I have to laugh in their face. Last time my lung collapsed… I was sitting at a desk job bored out of my mind. 22 years old and I thought I was having a heart attack… in a boring medical office. So please excuse my adventure soul, but I think I will keep going!

The first set of stairs is the Haiku Stairs (Honolulu, HI) and it 3,922 stairs up and 3,922 stairs down. So I am going to round that to 8,000 due to difficulty, ha! When I say up… I mean straight UP, a mountain on old stairs from WWII, some points just being a ladder, in the dark. My legs were shaking and my heart was racing as we made our way up in the dark, trying to catch the sunrise.

When we made it to the top it was so cloudy you could barely see 10 feet in front of you. But I was feeling way too accomplished to feel any disappointment in that. I think the view was just perfect.
So call us crazy but then the next day we decided to climb our way up Koko Head 1,048 railroad ties up a mountain side. My legs felt like Jell-o and about halfway through I was telling myself I couldn’t make it to the top. But I hushed that voice in my head and kept pushing. And man was it worth it.
